Dremex Automotive — Service Agreement & BAR Estimate Notice

1. Written Estimate & Authorization (California BAR Compliance)

In accordance with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) regulations, no repair work or disassembly will be commenced without a formal, itemized written estimate provided to the customer and authorized via signature or digital confirmation.

  • Parts & Labor Breakdown: The estimate will explicitly itemize the cost of parts, labor charges, and any diagnostic fees.

  • Price Limits: Pursuant to California law, the final price for repairs and parts will not exceed the written estimate without prior oral or written consent from the customer.

2. Diagnostic & Call-Out Fees

  • Base Service Call: Standard roadside call-out fees (covering dispatch, travel, and minor initial troubleshooting) are agreed upon prior to dispatch.

  • Diagnostic Authorization: If a mechanical issue requires diagnostic testing or teardown to isolate a problem, a separate diagnostic fee will be quoted and authorized prior to testing.

3. Storage, Abandonment, & Vehicle Release

  • Vehicle Pick-Up: For vehicles serviced on-site or towed/transported under an agreed arrangement, repairs must be paid in full upon completion before the vehicle is released.

  • Unclaimed Vehicles: If a vehicle is left in the possession or control of Dremex Automotive and remains unclaimed after services are completed, storage and lien notices will be applied in strict compliance with California Civil Code and BAR guidelines.

4. Parts, Warranties, & Customer-Supplied Components

  • Dremex-Sourced Parts: New parts supplied and installed by Dremex Automotive carry standard manufacturer warranties. Labor warranties apply as specified per invoice.

  • Customer-Supplied Parts: If the customer provides their own parts, no labor or component warranty is expressed or implied. Defective customer parts that fail upon installation will incur additional labor charges to replace.
